Fineness
What softness actually means
Cashmere fineness is measured in microns — the diameter of each individual fibre. The lower the number, the finer the fibre.
At 15.5–16 microns, the cashmere used across our collection sits at the exceptionally fine end of the spectrum, giving it the softness and lightness associated with high-quality cashmere.
For selected lighter-weight styles, we blend cashmere with silk for a finer, lighter feel and fluid drape.
Longevity
What makes cashmere last
Softness is what you notice first. How it wears over time matters just as much.
The longer the fibre, the stronger the yarn. Longer fibres hold together more securely, helping reduce pilling and maintain the garment’s shape over time.
Our cashmere uses long fibres, with specifications of 32–34 mm or 38–44 mm depending on the yarn. These lengths are chosen for durability as well as softness. The exact specification is shown on each product page.
Sourcing
Where the yarn comes from
Our cashmere comes from Inner Mongolia, one of the world’s most renowned cashmere regions. In its extreme winters, goats develop an exceptionally fine insulating undercoat — the fibre that becomes cashmere, prized for its softness, warmth and remarkable lightness.
Our Inner Mongolian cashmere is spun by specialist yarn mills selected for fibre quality, consistency and responsible production standards.

Production
Made to be worn
Our cashmere garments are fully fashioned and knitted directly to shape, rather than cut from knitted fabric. Each piece is carefully linked, finished by hand, then washed and steam-blocked to develop its softness and final shape.
Every garment is inspected for its measurements, seams, knitted surface and overall finish before packing.
Verification
Labels don't tell the whole story
“100% cashmere” tells you what a piece is made from. It doesn’t tell you how fine the fibres are, how long they are, or the specifications behind the yarn.
That’s why we publish the specifications behind each piece. We also select products from our collections for independent testing at regular intervals, adding another layer of verification beyond the mill specifications.
In this collection, our Essential Crewneck was tested by an independent university laboratory and measured at 14.6 microns.
For the rest of the collection, we publish the specifications provided by our yarn mills. Each product page makes clear whether the figure shown is an independent test result or a mill specification.
